Well the first soccer season is over. We had our last game last Friday. It has been a blitzkrieg over last few weeks. I haven’t been able to keep up.
Well can’t remember where we left off, but we got beat the last few games. Well its hard to report our losses, but we will. God will be glorified, when the results sway to the other side.
Well, we got beat by Old Suwanee on 09/28 5-0. Well this was a hard one to lose. We went there with 10 players and was hoping to win. This was Old Suwanee’s first win in a couple of years. Congrats to them!!
Next we played Covenant on 9/29 and lost 8-2. We both only had 10 players. They had a player we named “Red Shoes” who was pretty good. Josh H played a great last half as keeper. It was unbelievable.
Next we played Bible Baptist Hampton and lost 11-2.
We went to Covenant and got beat 10-0. The mercy rule stopped the game. We had 8 players. The Milk-Wagon broke down on the way there. We got there almost 2 hours late.
Finally, we played our last home game and lost 7-1.
Well, I have to say that it has been an awesome first season. We ended with 3 wins and 10 losses. There was so many wins that don’t even relate to the game wins and losses. I love soccer. I love the team of boys. I love God for making it all happen. I cannot put in to words what this experience has meant. Winning the first game ever with the boys was something I will never forget. It ranks as one of the things I don’t want to ever forget, because it was pure faith in an Almighty God that got us to that game.
The journey doesn’t end here. It’s still the beginning and the girls’ season is next. We still have camps to begin fundraising for etc. Our biggest prayer is for the grading of the soccer field asap.
Got to Go…
Thanks,
Coach
