Well, some catch up and background.

The Lady Saints basketball team did amazing feats and went to state. You can catch up on it on the facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/bcssaints . It was a God story! They went from no coach, to a coach the week practice started, to working extremely hard, to winning two tournaments (Tip Off and Christmas Tournaments), to winning 4 straight last minute wins, to going to state). There was ups and downs and everyone learned. God just answered so many prayers, but the girls put everything they had into it. We also got a chance to livestream the basketball games.

The cheerleaders won 2nd in state. You can also see them on facebook.

Very proud of the young lady’s at BCS. They are amazing.

Ok, so now we started practice two weeks ago, while the basketball season and cheerleading were still going. We had at least 14 that signed up to play. The cheerleaders and basketball players were still in season, so they couldn’t practice. So the first day of practice we had two. The next day one quit. Meanwhile, others that were going to play changed their minds. The next few days we had one at practice. She was very faithful.

So, this week we started with 7 at practice. Sound familiar? The next day we had 8.

Thursday, we had a parent meeting to discuss the season. The coaches position was that we would play cautiously with 8, focus on core athletic and fundamental skills, learn soccer, get the first season started, and would pray for more girls. Issues were that the team was too small and games were far away. It was noted that we had numbers down with the boys soccer and the girls basketball described how the girls beat the odds on many occasions. Note: The boys won their first game. The outcome was very positive.

The next day, we had a player quit and one sick. So I spoke to the lady’s about the player quitting and leaving us with 7. I asked do they really want to continue the season. YES!! Are you committed? YES!!! So we formed a circle of prayer and prayed! I’m sitting there thinking “What Faith this generation has?” I wish the older generation had that much faith. Hebrews 11 came to mind.

Ok, so we are there with 6 players. One sick and absent, one with a cold, one with a sprained knee, one with a hurting foot, one with a bruised ankle, and our first game coming up in two weeks. Impossible is the word that comes to mind. God so it’s time for you to work miracles.

Saturday, knowing all this a faith walker is busy preparing the soccer fields on the eight acres and the baseball field. Certainly, an inspiration of faith to me. BTW. We had one come to optional practice. My daughter, she had too!!! LOL

As of today, we have 7 players. I think you will agree that God has to perform miracles! So when He does, please start having faith.

God,
You are amazing to give me an opportunity to coach these young ladies. God I know there are wars, crimes, families separating, politics, families missing loved ones in wars, poverty, hunger, economic, terrorism, and many other things that are of high importance. Without being selfish, God I just ask in your omnipotence and mighty power to look upon these special young ladies that look to you for their strength to give them the opportunity to play soccer and keep them safe. They have shown their faith through their actions. God through them show Your awesome power and your amazing love.

In Jesus’s name,
Amen
