Saints Soccer - The beginning...

BCS Lady Saints First Soccer Game

Well, today was an answer to many prayers. Again a testament to God’s faithfulness.

You can read the last post, our numbers were very low. Well we gained three, then lost one over the weekend. God sent us Sarah and Shelly. We have 9 players plus one that is going to play, but doesn’t know it yet. (SL) (LOL)

Oh well, we went into the weekend thinking we had enough to play. The Lady’s were pumped. Then Sunday, we find out that one had quit. Well we knew that most teams would want at least 11 on the field before we played them. So we went there with 10 with the undecided one. (SL)(LOL) We called the AD and he welcome us to come on.

Well, we loaded up at 11:15 am and went. First lady saint soccer team kicked off around 4:05. It was on. The girls played great. We played 9 v 11. We lost 5-0. Every girl took falls, got back up, and kept on moving. After the game each girl had at least one strawberry. The coach really commended the girls on their talent and play. He was genuinely impressed and told me the girls should know they are very talented. In addition, the other teams parents cheered our girls on for their extraordinary effort. Finally, a parent talked how encouraging the girls were to each other.

Well all I can say is praise God. It was a good day. A win in so many ways. Those Christians at Covenant really showed their Christianity today. Today, I am proud to be a Christian, because I have seen God do miracles for these young ladies and seen the light of some remarkable Christians at Covenant.

Finally, I will say this. If the church, school, and parents truly knew the potential that these children had, they would be floored and overwhelmed by guilt at the same time for not seeing it in time. If these kids knew what they had in each other, then they would conquer so much more. If these girls had enough to play soccer they would be even more remarkable. Not only this year, but next year too. These kids have the talent to win state in every sport in my opinion (volleyball, basketball, and soccer), but everyone has to bind together through faith from the kids to the parents to the school to the church.

BTW. Tomorrows game is going to be a wet and muddy one. Starts at 5:15 pm.

Thank you God for answering our prayers, In Jesus Name Amen.
